I finally got the chance to meet the super talented Madeleine from The Daily Mark and Blogger Boss at Problogger earlier this year and she was as bubbly in person as she is online! And I think one of these first things I said to her was “Can I please interview you?!” And of course she graciously agreed :)

Hello! Who are you and what do you do?

I’m a digital lover. I’m a web designer, developer and blogger. Obsessed with tech, beauty, fashion and food I compile the best discoveries of the day it into my site, The Daily Mark. I also teach tech to other bloggers via another business, Blogger Boss. Where we run courses, sell plugins and templates and share tech tips and tricks to help bloggers tame their tech and take their blog’s to the next level.

What work are you most proud of to date?

I’m really proud of how quickly I’ve grown The Daily Mark. From only one reader (Hey Mum!) to a really loyal group of guys and girls that check in every week in a bit over a year, it’s been a fantastic experience meeting new people and building fantastic relationships with readers and brands.

What was the turning point in your career?

I think when I was featured as a tech expert in Cosmopolitan. It really just concreted in my mind that, yes I do know what I’m talking about and I can teach people. I always wanted to be a teacher when I was younger, so that was a kick in the right direction to start Blogger Boss.

Who would you like to collaborate with one day?

Can I saw Drew Barrymore, in a movie about my life or is that way OTT? I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing people and brands via TdM and can’t wait to work with more! On a side note, working with Heston Blumenthal would definitely be up there. Not sure how or why, but definite goal.

What’s your number one tip for someone wanting to start their own business/blog?

A Ricky Gervais quote, “The best advice I’ve ever received is, ‘No one else knows what they’re doing either.’”. Just start and don’t look at what other people have achieved as being ’too hard’ or a reason for not starting your own path. Guaranteed they started at the bottom too!

Where can we find you online?

I’m sharing my favourite products, places and people at The Daily Mark – on social as @TheDailyMark and teaching tech at Blogger Boss – on social as @BeABloggerBoss.
