Bespoke Letterpress and The Press Shop, Bowral

Bespoke Letterpress and The Press Shop is a dual-purpose space located in Bowral,  just 90 minutes’ drive from Sydney. The Southern Highlands is an area famous for its rolling hills, spacious farmland and numerous wineries. It’s always been an excellent destination for a relaxing weekend away, and I’ve never really thought of this small town as “cool”. Until now. Upon stumbling across this design studio and cafe, I could almost be on the trendy streets of Surry Hills.

The newly renovated space is located within The Acre at Shop 5, 391-397 Bong Bong Street, and is full of light, with touches of wood, marble and pale blue throughout. Their shop contains a design studio, print studio, letterpress stationery store and cafe all located within the one gorgeous space.

Grab a 5 Senses coffee or a cup of tea from Little Wilding Tea Co and then enjoy a meal from their ever-changing seasonally-inspired menu. Finish off with a house baked sweet treat and then wander over to the Bespoke Letterpress side of the space for a spot of retail therapy.

After more than 10 years in the game, Bespoke Letterpress has grown to be one of the most respected letterpress studios in the world. They have a huge range of handmade stationery which is designed and printed in the Bowral studio and a selection of gift items for sale.

There are 3 antique letterpresses out the back, with the oldest machine dating back to 1893, and it’s great to see these presses in action!

For a unique cafe experience, please make sure you stop by Bespoke Letterpress and The Press Shop Cafe next time you’re in Bowral! And for more things to do in this wonderful town, check out my Travel Guide to Bowral too.
