A Bird’s Eye View of Dubai

An inspiring blend of sophisticated luxury, authentic Indian heritage and contemporary style – Taj Dubai is a world-class destination. Experience great Indian hospitality at the shores of modern Arabia.

What’s the best way to see Dubai? From the sky of course!  To fully appreciate the grandeur, landscape, contrasting colours and the sheer scale of construction continually going on in Dubai, get up high and make sure you bring your camera. Be prepared for some of the most breathtaking sights you’ve ever seen!

There are several ways to get a great view of Dubai from the sky – for the adventurous, I highly recommend Hot Air Ballooning. If you’re on a budget, the viewing deck of the Burj Khalifa called At The Top is an amazing way to see 360 degree views of the city. And if you want to splurge, book yourself a seat on the Seawings plane and be prepared for an experience of a lifetime!

At The Top, Burj Khalifa

One of Dubai’s most iconic buildings, the Burj Khalifa is not only the tallest building in the world, it also has the world’s highest viewing deck and one of the world’s fastest elevators.

The viewing deck by At the Top provides 360 degree views of the downtown area, the desert and the Arabian Gulf. Entrance is via the Dubai Mall and runs in 30 minute time intervals. I highly recommend pre-booking your time, as it can sell out during busy periods such as sunset.

From above we saw the Dubai Fountain, a lego city of buildings and apartments, the desert, the sea and more!

The Burj Khalifa looks mighty impressive from the ground as well, whether in broad daylight or at night. It’s truly a spectacular building.

Seawings Sea Plane

Flying over Dubai in a seaplane is one of the best ways to admire the city’s iconic landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, The World and The Palm Jumeirah. Every seat is a window seat on the plane, so there’s no squabbling over who sits where!

I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous taking off. The irony is not lost on me that a travel blogger has a fear of flying, but there you go. But soon my nerves were overtaken by the sheer delight of the spectacular views. I took photo after photo and before long I was a seaplane pro!
